The state of being sluggish, apathetic, or lacking energy.
The Root: LETHE
(Greek: "forgetfulness")
In mythology, the river Lethe caused forgetfulness and oblivion.
Lethargy is a "forgetful" or sluggish state.
Lacking energy or interest; slow and relaxed.
To grow weak or feeble; to suffer from being neglected.
A state of tiredness or inactivity; an oppressive stillness.
The Root: LANGUERE
(Latin: "to be faint, listless")
All relate to a state of weakness, listlessness, or feebleness.
To pretend to be ill in order to escape duty or work.
The Root: MALUS
(Latin: "bad, evil")
From French `malingre` (sickly), which likely comes from `malus` (bad). Faking illness is "bad."

(v.) To speak about someone in a spitefully critical manner.
